NEUTAUR organizes public physical and trade data so you can read which industries are moving. These are the source concepts behind that data — what each one is, and what it can and cannot tell you.

Bill of Lading (Customs Trade Data)

A bill of lading is the shipping record filed with U.S. Customs for ocean freight entering the country — the raw document behind import-trade data.

Interconnection Queue (Grid Connection Requests)

The interconnection queue is the public backlog of power projects — new generation and large loads like data centers — waiting for grid-operator approval to connect.

SEC Segment Revenue

Segment revenue is the breakdown of a public company’s sales by business line — reported in its SEC filings and machine-readable through XBRL.

HS Code (Harmonized System)

The Harmonized System is the international standard for classifying traded goods, used by customs authorities and UN Comtrade worldwide.

Mann-Kendall Trend Test

The Mann-Kendall test is a standard statistical method for deciding whether a time series is rising, falling, or has no monotonic trend.

Material Substitution

Material substitution is when an industry shifts from one input material to another — for example, copper interconnects giving way to optical.

Days Inventory Outstanding (DIO)

Days Inventory Outstanding measures how many days of inventory a company holds, calculated from its SEC-reported balance sheet.

Physical Signal

A physical signal is an observation drawn from public physical and structural data — customs, power, filings, patents — rather than from news or share price.
